Nice poem. And I see a mention in today’s Guardian!
Twice in one week! The Guardian that is. (Shame about the small typo, but then it is The Guardian)
Hello, John. Not sure if you remember me from Fitzhenry & Whiteside in Canada, publicist. I received your thoughtful postcard after I left that position and moved to Montreal. I attempted to write back a couple times from addresses I found online, but all mail was returned to me. I even tried sending photos I found from the book launch I had arranged. Anyhow, just wanted to say and happy to read that you are alive and kicking and still writing … poetry at that. I will always remember your kindness. Best wishes for 2023! ~ Donna Tai
Donna … I do remember you, indeed! Sorry you’ve had such difficulty getting in touch. Yes, still alive and if not quite kicking, still shuffling along. I hope you are well. I’d be very pleased to see any photos you’d like to send. My email address is john@mellotone.co.uk. All good wishes, John
